A prototype of ReCheck Documents was provided to the municipality of Ruse for the purpose of testing an innovative solution for the digitisation of paper documents and optimisation of document flow between the administration and citizens. Recheck Documents is offered to the local administration within the framework of the “Digital technologies and their Application within the city” project, implemented by Association Startup Factory.
The online service can be integrated as a component in the municipal information system and allow the registration of documents on blockchain and then send them to citizens in a secure way. This is a possible alternative to the standard way to issue paper documents such as certificates, official verified documents, and more. Through ReCheck Documents, the local administration has the opportunity to test a new digital tool that makes it easier for citizens to save time. On the other hand, the digitisation of documents reduces costs for the municipality and allows automation of processes.
The next steps of the project are building a controlled test environment for experimenting with the service. The initial results from this pilot project will indicate about the benefits of using blockchain as the base for secure document management and sensitive information. As part of the digital transformation, the municipal administration will have the opportunity to optimise and automate processes in an ingenious way.
